Round 1 of the 2020 Hobart Wheelers / Dirt Devils Cycling Club cyclocross season will be held at at the North Warrane oval on Sunday 23rd August, racing from 10.30am.
Cyclocross (sometimes known as CX) is a mix between road roading and cross country mountain biking. Races generally happen in the Winter and Autumn over short courses with racers avoiding obstacles (which may require dismounting), riding on grass, gravel, step hills and more. It’s a muddy, fun experience for all ages of riders.
All bikes welcome (no bar ends).
Racing will be approximately 45 minutes - 1 hour long.
Track details will be released closer to the event it promises to be a lot of fun with a lot of mud and interesting features.
The course will not include the football field, please do not ride on the oval for practice.
Juniors racing will be held 30 minutes before the main racing starts. Rego will be open 45 minutes before race start. You will need an MTBA License or purchase a MTBA day license on the day.
