Riding the new mountain bike tracks when they are wet can result in damage to the track and the surrounding environment and as a result, during wet weather some mountain bike tracks at Trevallyn and Kate Reed nature recreation areas may be required to be closed for short periods. Please be considerate and use an alternative route when these tracks are closed or wet.

Trevallyn Nature Recreation Area

The mountain bike track that starts at Duck Reach Road information sign car park, is open from the car park up to the Powerline Track. The south-eastern end from Powerline Track to Reedy Gully Fire Trail remains closed.

All other mountain bike tracks at Trevallyn Nature Recreation Area remain closed.

Kate Reed Nature Recreation Area

Mountain bike tracks currently closed due to persistent ice and the southern end of the trails being wet and soft, include Rock Drop and the Berm extension.

Mountain bike tracks at Kate Reed that are open include the Highway Track and Berm short loop.

Please note that all shared tracks and fire trails remain open for use in both reserves. For any other enquiries please call the Trevallyn Parks and Wildlife Service office on 6336 5391.
