Blue Derby MTB Trails logo released

The good news is that the new (and I think rather awesome) logo for the North East Trails (still under construction) has been released, and as commented by one person, it would make a rather awesome beer label for one of the microbrews at Weldborough Pub.  Not so good news is that the same article notes that the trails will open in early 2015, not December 2014 as has been previously reported in The Mercury newspaper.  Full details below.

"Today marked the release of the much anticipated trail branding & style guides for Australia's latest Mountain Bike destination under construction, in North East Tasmania.

"The exciting new "Blue Derby" logo, designed by mountain bike legend, Wade Lewis, merges the core heart of Australian Mountain Biking with the historical values of Derby itself.

"The new Blue Derby Trailhead, currently under construction, is only a few metres from the township itself, which makes Derby one of only a handful of Mountain Bike destinations in the world which can boast this unique style. Within minutes, riders will experience instant wilderness styled adventure trails, traversing through some stunning terrain, littered with waterfalls, huge lookouts and fern forests.

"Stage 1 is expected to open early 2015."
