Echoing the burgeoning interest in cycle tourism in the region and the emergence of "world-class" mountain biking tracks at nearby Hollybank and Blue Derby, Launceston Airport has recently constructed its own “Bike-Port”.

The "Bike-Port" provides undercover bicycle facilities in a central location immediately opposite the terminal forecourt avoiding the need for cyclists to work their machines on the floor of the arrivals hall.

The new facility includes two bicycle service stations with accompanying cycle mounts and tools (including air pumps) , which allow for the assembly, disassembly and minor maintenance of bicycles.

There is also free bicycle parking facilities including CCTV monitored bicycle racks for up to 12 bikes.
