Tasmanian Mountain Bike Trail Guide Book Released

Seasoned mountain bike journalist and guide book writer Travis Deane and Jane Deane have launched the “Tasmanian MTB Guide Book”.

The book is 208 pages and covers over 40 locations throughout Tasmania. Each trail is reviewed and given a star rating (out of 5), a difficulty rating (International Mountain Bike Association-IMBA rating) and a skull rating (how dangerous it is).

It is designed to assist locals and visitors alike with suggested itineraries, tips and other things to do in the area.

The format is based on their successful “Western Australian MTB Guide Book” which was first published in 2011 and has been reprinted 4 times and is now in its 2nd edition.

Travis has been mountain biking for 25 years and is a professional photographer, having freelanced for all Australian MTB magazines providing articles and images.

The book is available in most bike shops in Tasmania or online.  It costs about $35.
