The Warrawee Reserve Mountain Bike Trail Network is part of the larger Wild Mersey project, which will contain over 100kms of trails if funded and completed. The Warawee Trail network will be around 20kms of mountain bike trails.
These trails are still in the proposal stage only.
The Tasmanian government commit six hundred thousand dollars towards the Wild Mersey project in January 2018 with a commitment that the project will start within weeks.
According to the groups facebook page, there is a promise of a further $600k from the State Government, if the councils secure a $800k Federal regional jobs and investment grant. This is on top of the already secured $300k of federal funding.
A copy of both the Wild Mersey Brochure and the Warrawee Reserve Mountain Bike Trails (January 2016) are listed on this page for those who want more details of what is planned.
