North-East Rail Trail a Step Closer

The North Eastern Advertiser is reporting that the North-East rail trail is another step closer with the tabling in Parliament of a draft Corridor Notice for the section stretching from Coldwater Creek to Tongonah.

Both Houses of Parliament need to agree to declare the North-East Line Corridor as the first step to establishing the rail trail.  This will then allow Dorset Council to proceed ith its development applications.

The North-East Rail Trail received $1.47 milliion in funding under the Australian Government's Stronger Regions Fund.
